Surgery in Labs
Labs that do animal surgeries (survival and non-survival), need to maintain a Surgery Log that will
be made available for review by the IACUC during the semi-annual laboratories inspections.
When survival, aseptic technique is used for rodent surgical procedures, it is important that
those performing the surgery have read and understand the IACUC approved Rodent Aseptic Surgery Policy.
