The External Rate applied to an animal user that has federally sponsored
funding has gained KU-Lawrence IACUC approval for their study and has set up
space arrangements with the ACU.This
rate is calculated by taking the internal rate and adding 50% for overhead
expenses.
The Corporate Rate is applied to an animal user that has no
relation to the University and is funded with private funds.IACUC approval and space negotiations with
the ACU also apply.This rate
encompasses all ACU costs.
