Decision makers

The provost or chancellor decides whether to postpone or cancel classes and curtail activities on the Lawrence campus in consultation with the KU Office of Public Safety, Lawrence Police, the Kansas Highway Patrol and the National Weather Service. The decision is based on road conditions, notably whether buses can safely navigate Mount Oread, and weather forecasts.
