Video & Audio

Broadcast Communications manages KU's television and radio image. We produce regionally and nationally-aired television and radio commercials, public service announcements and video board spots. We also maintain an extensive collection of KU file footage, taped expert interviews, and speeches in addition to having access to the university's archival footage.

The department also works closely with KU Media Productions, based in the Kansas Union.

* post-production ...................... editing, building graphics, color correction, audio mixing, DVD building, captioning, conversion to web format

* post-production administration ...................... captioning, DVD preparation, archiving, logging footage, duplication preparation

* duplication ...................... time to burn to CD or DVD plus cost of media 1-5 copies will be done in-house; 6 and more copies will be sent out and charged at cost

* Graphic design of jacket and scripts done by external sources are extra and are quoted per-project
